For years, I've made my own sausage . Using spices to suit your own taste is an excellent bonus. This is just perfect. My husband was always very fond of the sausage gravy served over biscuits, and this works beautifully, minus all the excess fats. Wonderful recipe because you can season and then freeze in serving sized portions. Thanks for sharing! rd013

This recipe reminds me somewhat of the Irish "Bubble and Squeak" that is so delicious. Rather than criticise someones recipe for lack of salt, why can't you just add salt and pepper to taste? Most people do anyways. I think this is a beautiful and very tasty dish. Thank you so much for one more thing to add to my recipe book. I'll enjoy it often.
