I literally make this when I have no time to cook. Made it once for my neighbor who just had a baby - they LOVED it. Recently made it for the boys when they came home from a long trip. Left a note by the crock pot with instructions for adding the sour cream at the end. :) They figured it out. Comfort food at its easiest!

Crispy, spicy, warm, and make your home smell like the holidays. Perfect. First time I have made gingerbread from scratch, and will continue to use this recipe. Made one recipe exactly as stated and perfect for gingerbread men. Made another batch a bit healthier for our home - substituted splenda, 1 cup whole wheat flour (other cup all purpose white) and still was great texture and flavor... and I accidently got pumpkin pie spice for this batch and still yummy. Good quality spices do make a difference. Thanks everyone for sharing!

Made these for dinner last night. The texture was light and fluffy, just how you would want a dinner roll to turn out. I will practice this recipe a bit more, since I am not that good with breads. I found this dough SUPER sticky, added much more flour than the recipe required... that is the cooks fault though :) All of my dinner guests said the flavor was great. Next time will add more sugar because I like my dinner rolls a bite sweeter.
