Green Beans with Cherry Tomatoes
Yummy!! My husband requests this all the time now. He likes that it has a hint of sweetness. Easy to modify depending on what you have on hand. Have used fresh basil or dried. Minced garlic from the jar I keep in the fridge. A little sea salt. And a great way to use cherry tomatoes that are too ripe for salads.

Mandarin Orange Cake I
My late grandmother made a recipe similar to this that our family still loves to this day (in fact, I introduced my hubby to it & he has declared it his new favorite cake!) To make the moistest cake ever... Combine 1 box yellow cake mix, 4 eggs, 1 cup oil, 1 package instant vanilla pudding & juice from 2 small cans of mandarin. Bake in 2 round pans, so you can slice those with thread to make 4 layers. It's beautiful! Icing: Mix with a blender...1 large Cool Whip, 1 pack of instant vanilla pudding, 1 can pineapple with juice & 2 cans of mandarin (juice has already been used for cake batter...reserve a few for decorations). Ice this baby up & store in fridge until ready to serve. It will be the moistest thing you've ever eaten!! Delicious!!

Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili
Love the name..."quick" slow cooker chili. Yummy dish! Followed some of the other suggestions such as: instead of 2 cans of tomato soup, used 1 can of soup & 1 can of tomatoes with green peppers (aka Rotel). Used 1 cup of frozen chopped onion instead of 1/2 a fresh onion b/c I keep frozen on hand. Also added about 2 cups of frozen corn for more substance & color. Instead of garlic powder, I just used minced garlic, which I keep in my fridge.
