these were so easy and absolutely tasty. it helps to roll all of the dough into balls at once and punch wholes in them then once you have a pan ready you can just grab them from the bowl and place the jelly in them. I used a strawberry jelly and it has a great sweet taste. Also freezing the cookies for about 5 minutes before the oven really helps them keep their shape. One this i found helpful as well is when your punching the holes in your dough if you experience the cookie cracking just knead the dough in your hands for a bit.and i dashed a bit more almond extract in the icing, it makes them really fragrant.

!!GREAT TIP!! Place the servings in 1 gallon bags with the date of Day 1 and Day 10 written on them. That way your friends can mush the mix in the bags with their children rather than having to stir it everyday. and if air gets in there you just open the bag a tiny bit and let the air out. The one gallon bag will be more than enough space for your friends to add the additional ingredients.

this frosting is beautiful, although i did run into trouble not having any corn syrup so i took some advice of another reviewer and made a simple syrup to take it's place. I did have some worries 1st mixing it i just have a big ball of slime so i had to add about 1/4 cup of milk to get it to a managable consistency. it worked very nice but it takes maybe about 6 hours to dry completely. Very tasty though i must say
