This is fabulous. I only used 3 tbsp olive oil, and added 1 tbsp brown sugar. I let it simmer for three hours, threw in some turkey meatballs with 30 minutes to go, and it was perfect. My husband's new favorite!

Holiday Chicken Salad

I've made this a couple times now, and it can be really good, but only with a few adjustments. Seasoned chicken is definitely necessary, or it will taste very bland. You should also add some spices or herbs according to your taste to give it some more flavor. Once you do this, it's a great salad, but as is, the recipe is not very tasty.

Party Punch IX

So delicious! I made this for a house party with over 50 people and it disappeared shortly after I put it out! The kids had a blast helping me break up the frozen juice, and it had a great slushy consistency. I'm definitely going to use this as my go-to punch recipe from now on.

Slow Cooker Vegetable Chili

This is excellent veggie chili. The prep does take quite a bit of time because of all the chopping, but it's worth the effort. I made a double batch for a party and everyone gave it rave reviews. I added extra chili powder because we like it with a little extra bite. Even so, it wasn't spicy at all.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

This is delicious. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that it is a bit dry if you don't add the milk, as suggested by other reviewers. I made a double batch for a party and it disappeared before I even got back to my kitchen. A definite it.

Crispy Cucumbers and Tomatoes in Dill Dressing

This is so good! I didn't give it five stars because I think the onion is a bit overpowering, so I cut back on that. Otherwise, it's delicious. I always get a lot of compliments on this one.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

These are great! My cookies turned out perfect, and they definitely look and taste like I bought them at the corner bakery. You do have to take them out at just the right time to avoid hard cookies, so watch them carefully.

Apple Cole Slaw

This is very good and easy to put together. The only change it really needs is added cider vinegar. Without it there's really not much flavor. Delicious.

Sloppy Joes II

This was so good! My husband loves sloppy Joes, and he said it was the best he's ever had. I made extra sauce because I read the reviews first, and I'm glad I did because it was the perfect amount.

Garlic Bread Fantastique

This is so good, and so easy to make. I've made it at least ten times now and it always turns out delicious. Just be sure you don't put too much on your bread, unless you like it really buttery.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Delicious! I made two batches, one with the added vanilla (per other reviewers' suggestions) and one without, and nobody could tell the difference. Will definitely make these again.

Baked Ziti I

Bread and Celery Stuffing

Easy Herb Roasted Turkey

I just used this recipe for my first turkey ever and it was delicious. Everyone raved and said it was the best turkey they've ever had. I brined our 18 lb turkey for 30 hours using the "Out of this World Turkey Brine" recipe on this site, and then followed this recipe. I put the bird in breast-side down until the last 45 minutes of cooking, too. It was delicious. Moist, flavorful, perfect. I will definitely use this recipe again next Thanksgiving.
