Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

This was a hearty good soup. I gave it four stars because I didn't go back for seconds. I was pleased with the results and will put it in my winter soup collection.

Great cake, it was moist and dense enough to be iced without crumbs. I used only one egg and used egg replacer in place of the other eggs (my daughter has a minor egg allergy). I have baked a lot of cakes and this will be my new favourite. Try with layers of lemon curd.

G's Flank Steak Marinade

Delish! I was skeptical while making the marinade, I thought it would be like a teriyaki, but it wasn't. The soy imparted a lovely flavour along with the other ingredients. All the flavours balanced nicely for a delicious flank steak. This will be a staple for my flank steaks.

Lemon Cake with Lemon Filling and Lemon Butter Frosting

Cake was quite firm, I was sure not to over mix and I still had air bubbles in my cake. The lemon was excellent.

Sherry Apple Pork Chops

This recipe had potential however I was disappointed with the end result. I did follow the instructions. I also read all the reviews and reduced baking time to 30 minutes. My pork chops were an inch thick and were overdone. I would recommend a reduction in cooking time to 15 minutes. I also made a sauce as suggested with bacon, onion, butter and more sherry ( I couldn't taste the sherry in apples. We are use to having our pork done medium. Thanks for the recipe we will modify cooking time for next time. I served with Jamie's cranberry spinach salad (excellent) and rice stuffing with apples herbs and bacon from the all recipe website.

Simple White Cake

I enjoyed this cake, it was moist and dense enough to be a recipe I will use again. I did add 1/2 tsp salt, I found it odd that salt was not in the recipe.

Rice Stuffing with Apples, Herbs, and Bacon

Vegan Red Lentil Soup

Great recipe. I didn't have the fenugreek seasoning, next time I will try it with the missing ingredient. I liked the added richness of the coconut milk and squash, however I used pureed pumpkin instead. This is now my favourite lentil soup recipe.

Coconut Granola

This is my first granola recipe I have ever made, and it was a good one. Nice crunchy clumps of granola, great flavour. I used sunflower seeds due to a nut allergy and used agave and brown rice syrup instead of sugar.
