My cooking tragedies
The first time I ever made a pot of great northern beans(simple, right?) for my new husband, I burnt them. Couldn't salvage nary a one. And I still get chuckles from him every time I make them now.

Buttercream Icing
I used all butter and it was awesome. The first time I made it I mde it with butter tastin crisco and it was way to sweet. Just use all butter!
