About this Cook
I have been cooking since I was in High School. I have come a long way with my cooking. I am not afraid to get into the kitchen and putter around and come up with a fantasic new dish that my family just raves about.
My favorite things to cook
I really don't have a favorite. I am just a lover of good foods!! As long as you put enough love into what you are making it will become someones favorite!
My favorite family cooking traditions
During all of the major holidays. I will always make 3 or 4 things that I grew up with and that I am teaching my two sons to make so that they will be able to carry on our traditions of homemade sweet bread and new recipes that we are starting to have new traditions.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking my first Thanksgiving dinner after getting married. I had about 15 people over for dinner and I cooked the entire meal and did not forget or burn anything.
My cooking tragedies
when I was in jr. high I took a home ec. class. And, I misread the recipe it called for 1 cup of sugar. I thought it read 1 cup of salt. Those were the worse Christmas cookies ever.

Nana's Acorn Squash
this recipe is really great. however due to the fact that most of my family has diabetic issues we use the brown sugar subsitute. and it tastes just a good.
