Will be married 50 years in Nov.(2008). We have 3 boys, all married, 4 grandkids, 3 boys, 1 girl. My Mom worked at a time when most stayed home so I learned at an early age how to put a good meal on the table. I learned a lot from my grandmother, no recipes, just put it together and make it taste good. We never measured. Chicken Pot Pie. Not the kind with a crust but the PA Dutch kind with the slippy noodles. It makes a lot so my kids come for a couple of quarts for 'take-out'! Getting together for pot luck picnics. Learning to decorate cakes. They're so expensive at the supermarket or bakery there's no money left for the present!! I once made a beautiful plate of deviled eggs. Many, many eggs! As an accent I usually dust the tops lightly with paprika. Never cook in a hurry, I grabbed the chili pepper instead. The eggs were eaten, but WOW was everyone surprised!
