About this Cook
My cooking tragedies
I had just finished cooking a perfect beef wellington, a big one- it was the whole fillet, about 15lbs- and when I was bringing it out of the oven, it rolled over onto the oven door! We quickly rescued it by carefully picking it up from the door w/a couple of spatulas...but it didn't look as perfect as I had envisioned...but still tasted great!

Caterpillar Cake
I didn't use the cake, or the frosting posted here (I made it all from scratch), but my 5 stars is for the great idea of using a bundt pan! wow! i have been making caterpillar cake for years now, for each of my children's 1st bdays, but i use a martha stewart baby idea, which requires a lot more work & using fondant- so it takes foreverrrr! this is great, easy & cute! i didn't make mine look so realistic like yours b/c that looks too much like a caterpillar & makes me want to gag :D i used candy covered gum drops for the legs & necco wafers for dots on top. so cute. thanks for the great idea!

Fresh Pineapple Upside Down Cake
I loved the recipe! The cake turned out PERFECT, and the bottom was yummy for my tummy! I was a little confused b/c it calls for 3 eggs & you beat the egg whites, but then it says to beat 2 of the yokes to a lemmony yellow color, so that left me with one extra yoke, is that correct? It turned out great, so I'm guessing that is correct. I did bake it in an 8x8, which caused me to have a much longer bake time, 45 min at 400 degrees & the very middle was not done, but i still pulled it out b.c we had guests & i didn't mind eating the undone middle w/some of the cooked cake, it's all good b/c it's tastes great! THANKS fo this wonderful recipe. OH, and I added Cinnamon to the cake, I loved it! ****Update- I just made it again, today- double the recipe, put it in a 9x13, baked at 375 for 43min- PERFECTION!!!!
