About this Cook
Grew up in Florida. Moved to Yakima, WA in 1998. Started making candy in Christmas 2003. Had seen a picture of pretzel rods covered in chocolate and thought, " I can do that." Since then, I have been making candy Christmas gifts for family friends and teachers.
My favorite things to cook
BBQ Meatloaf, Tuna Casserole, White Wine and Dijon Chicken with pasta, and any other favorites my kids ask for.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom has passed on several dishes. A sweet potato dish, strawberry nut jello, funnel cakes to name a few.
My cooking triumphs
trying a new recipe for BBq meatloaf and hubby and kids saying, "Wow, this is awesome."
My cooking tragedies
Burning water, I was a new bride and still learning what to cook.

Cornbread Stuffing Southern Style
I made this today and we were not impressed. It had a very strong Italian smell and taste to it. The consistency of the cornbread was more like mush even though I did add more cornbread to help with the fluid. I do not believe we will be having this again.

Shepherd's Pie
I tried this recipe last night. I did have to make some changes as we cannot use Campbell's soup because of the gluten in the creams of mushroom. So what I did was use a gluten free mixture, 4 tablespoons of ketchup, garlic salt and onion powder. I used Italian green beans, canned corn and baby carrots cut up. For the mash I used potato flakes herb and butter flavored. While making it the family had some not so nice things to say, however afterward's they all said they loved it. We will be doing this again.

Baked Bar-be-que Chicken
I really liked this recipe. I did not have Garlic Powder, so had to sub Onion powder and Garlic salt. I also used chicken legs instead of chicken pieces. I have made this recipe twice and both times it has been a hit. We have to cook Gluten Free as both my husband and I are on gluten less diets. This was wonderful over Rice pasta and Rice.
