Hard Candy Peppermint Twists
My first attempt at this recipe resulted in a caramelized, stinky, burnt mess. The second time I left the cover off so that I could keep an eye on the candy thermometer. When I poured the candy into the pans I think I may have done so too thickly(?) as the candy was very saturated and mushy- it didn't harden at all and was very chewy. I was able to make 6-8 twists out of one pan of candy.. and those tasted and looked amazing. I will try this again sometime maybe using cookie sheets instead of the baking pans.
