Although, I enjoy cooking I have to admit that I LOVE baking! I can't exactly tell you why but I just love the feel of dough between my fingers and the smell of sugar and butter combined! Hosting dinners is also a favorite. The simple pleasure of sharing a meal, laughter and making memories is what most appeals to me. Like I said, I love to bake. So, you'll most likely find me baking cakes, cookies or pastries. However, I do enjoy making authentic Mexican meals as well as good old southern foods. Ahhh, this is a good one. Sitting around our kitchen table making Pan de Polvo or otherwise known as Mexican wedding cookies. We'd generally make them during the holidays. I still can't decide if I like the powdered sugar or cinnamon and sugar cookies best. I'm still working on this one. I'll keep you posted. AWWWW, I once ruined an oreo pie crust by adding way too much melted butter. I was devasted because I was crunched for time and limited on resources. Sad Day. It all turned out well in the end but I still remember desperately trying to salvage my poor pie. haha!
