I'm an Executive Sous Chef in the Twin Cities area. Love to cook, both professionally and at home for the family. I've been through the progression of a professional kitchen (line cook, lead cook, sous chef, executive sous chef) and have been in the food servivce industry for nearly 8 years now. Long hard road, but offset with a sense of accomplishment and reward. Depends how adventerous I am feeling. I've got two young children at home, one of which is picky so that can be difficult. I guess my home cooking specializes in wholesome flavorful comfort foods, but occassionally verge off into something more "sophisticated." Some of the family favorites are: Balsamic Red Wine Meatloaf... Baby Red Potatoes w/ Bacon & Cherry Tomatoes... Homemade Mac & Cheese... Bleu Cheese Stuffed Peppers... Venison & Pork Chili... Italian Pasta Salad... Herb & Parmesan Crusted Salmon... I really don't have any. Happens everyday in the kitchen. And we learn to take that success and be humble with it.
