About this Cook
Newly married...for the second time....to a fantastic man who loves to eat and has a huge sweet tooth!! Also, have 3 little girls who tend to be picky eaters. Just starting to get comfortable in the kitchen again...and I like it!!!
My favorite things to cook
Any of my mother-in-law's recipes, tried and true recipes from my mama...I have a weak spot for desserts and jello salads.
My cooking triumphs
When my husband told me I was just as good of a cook as his mama...and most of my cooking was better. HUGE compliment considering my mother in law is the best cook ever. I felt like I needed a tiara.
My cooking tragedies
The fiery pound cake. NEVER accidentally substitute all purpose flour with self rising. Three fires in 2 hours. Boiling volcano of cake was in my oven...don't even ask how I got it all out.

Creamy Banana Bread
Best banana bread recipe EVER!! My husband says it's the best he's ever had and his mama is the best cook I've ever known. This is the only recipe I'll use for banana bread!!

Spinach Quiche
I've been making this recipe for about 2 years now...it's EXCELLENT!! The only thing I do differently is allow the veggie cheese mixture to cool slightly and add the egg/milk mixture to it instead of pouring it over the veggies in the pie crust. Additionally, I've found that it's enough to make two quiche's. Even my kids love this!!
