I love to bake bread and cookies, and I love trying new things. I'm currently learning to cook with beer. I make my mother's crockpot spaghetti sauce a few times a year, and everyone loves it. I also have her recipe for stuffing. My new project is to transcribe my grandmother's recipes. The recipes range in age from 20-ish years to at least 80 years, so the fun part is updating the recipes to modern ingredients and then getting to make them. I made my grandmother's sour cream twists (yeast leavened cookie) for the first time, and every one loved them. I was able to get it right the first time (whew!). The timer on my stove is the quitest timer ever! I've burned several frozen pizzas just because I went in another room.
