About this Cook
Just got interested in cooking about 2 years ago...I watch the "food network" a lot, and get their magazine. I love to "experiment" with recipes - some turn out really great, some are pretty bad. The good is starting to outnumber the bad though!
My favorite things to cook
Steak/fillet mignon; grilled whole chicken; spaghetti sauce.
My cooking triumphs
THE BEST fillet mignon ever - according to family, coworkers & friends - all of them (about 25 people) give it a "5 star" rating as "the best they've ever eaten"!

Asian Ginger Dressing
Delicious! I used this as a marinade for chicken breasts that I grilled, and basted the chicken with the marinade as it cooked. I didn't have the vinegar, so I tried just 1/4 teaspoon of Hoisin sauce (careful with that, it is very 'rich') and added the zest of one orange. Everyone loved it!

Richard and Suzanne's Louisiana Crawfish Pasta
Easy to make and very good. I used the 'basic' recipe, and made only a few changes to suit our taste and to use what I had on hand. I added the crawfish near the end of cooking, after the sauce was nearly done...I also added sliced mushrooms at the same time. Rather than red pepper flakes, I used a generous amount of Tony Chachere's. I used 3 cloves of garlic rather than 1, and also sauteed 3/4 of a yellow bell pepper to add a bit more color and flavor. Very tasty, and very rich.
