About this Cook
I absolutely love to cook! I love trying new things. I wouldn't say I'm a picky eater- I'll eat just about anything. I'm originally from the south so I definitely miss a home cooked southern meal!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake just about anything. I love making chicken, a side dish, and a veggie on the stove top. My hubby really likes soup so I've been trying to find new recipes for him. I also really love my crock pot. It makes things easier with having two little ones!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up we always had pizza on Friday's. Now that my son is getting older I would like to start something similar to this. We always ate at the dinner table too. I don't think we were even allowed to eat anywhere else. When my husband and I bought our first home I made sure to have a large enough table for everyone, including company, to sit at the table. No excuses to eat anywhere else! =)
My cooking triumphs
My homemade sausage balls and my chocolate bowl dessert is always requested. Adults and children alike can NEVER get enough.
My cooking tragedies
I always try and cook a meal for my new mommy friends (friends that just had baby). I was cooking my homemade cornbread muffins and realized I was running late. Hubby was rushing me as well, the timer went off for the cornbread, and I took them out of the oven and ran out of the house. As soon as we got home I tried one (we had a couple left over) and they weren't even done (runny in the middle)! I still haven't asked the friend about them...too embarrassed still!!!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies
Yummy! I was looking for something sweet to make tonight-- I already had some Pillsbury simply peanut butter cookie dough in the fridge and PB cups that I popped in the freezer. I halved each cookie (dough) and rolled into a ball, then placed in the mini muffin pan. Perfect size and so easy to make! I only made four cookies, but I'm eating them all!!! :)

Zucchini Cornbread Casserole
Definitely a keeper! Mine turned out looking just like the picture. I did lightly salt the zucchini and placed in a colander for an hour, then squeezed the water out. Next time I'll skip that step, since it was a bit dry, but that's my fault for not following directions :). It was ready in 50 minutes. I'll try covering for 30 minutes and bake uncovered for another 30 minutes like other reviewers. Thanks for sharing!!

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup
I cooked the noodles separately as others suggested, and added four cloves of fresh garlic. Love garlic! I made "A Good Easy Garlic Chicken" from this site, shredded the chicken and added it to the soup. So simple, yet very flavorful! Thanks for sharing!!
