Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
This is such an easy and outstanding way to prepare tilapia! I used light mayo for the coating, and it worked really well! Now I know why this one has so many good reviews...it is delicious! Thanks so much for sharing this one!

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
I'm really not sure how to rate this recipe; at first taste, I absolutely loved these, but as I continued to eat them, I didn't care for them as much. I was surprised that many of my very picky siblings were eating and liking them as well! They also got tired of them quickly, though. As suggested, I sprayed the kale with oil spray. I also feel that this recipe calls for a little too much salt; some of my chips were VERY salty. Thanks for sharing; it is certainly a very interesting idea!

Snow Peas with Water Chestnuts

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
This is a easy, tasty way to prepare snow peas! I didn't have any sesame seeds, so I used sesame oil instead of olive oil. This boosted the sesame flavor. The mint seemed a little strange to me, but it really didn't taste that bad in the end! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Peanut Butter Bumble Bees

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
My 6-year-old sister and I made these together the other day. Although the bees are very cute, as some of my family members stated, the taste is not that awesome. I also only got about 12 bees out of the mixture, and the chocolate was not easy to pipe on (especially for a 6-year old!) These are adorable, but not exactly tasty. Thanks for sharing, though!

Simple Roasted Chickpea Snack

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
These are very good! I made the recipe exactly as written, and loved it! The only changes I might make later on is to add a little more salt and pepper flakes to give it a little bit more flavor. This is such a easy, yummy, healthy snack! Thanks so much for sharing it!

This is an addictively good snack! I like it made with rice Chex best. My whole family absolutely loves this, and it is so easy to make! Yum!

'So This Is What Heaven Tastes Like!' Cream Cheese Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2009
These are very tasty bars! The texture is very good, but I felt that there might have been to many chocolate chips. I used dried cherries instead of maraschino, because my family doesn't care for those. I loved the crunch that the nuts gave the bars. Thanks for sharing your recipe, CookingBug!

Greek-alicious Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2009
Wow, this is such a simple recipe, yet it tastes so wonderful! I love the combination of flavors; the Greek dressing really ties everything together. The only change I made was that I skipped the feta cheese, because I don't care for it. Thanks for such an amazing recipe, Adzell! I will be making it again!

Artichoke Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2009
These were by far the best stuffed mushrooms I've ever eaten! I didn't have any Italian cheese blend, so I used a combination of shredded parmesan and mozzarella. The only problem I had with this recipe is that it made too much filling. This was just fine, though, because the filling alone makes an awesome cracker dip! Thanks so much for sharing; I will be making these again and again!!!

Baked Potato Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
This dip was pretty good, but I felt that it could have used less cheese, and maybe a little bit more bacon. I used real bacon, and chives instead of the green onions. I also added some ranch dressing mix for flavor. Altogether it is a good dip with these changes, but not one that I would rave about. Thanks!

Southern Shortcake

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
I followed this recipe exactly (except for adding a 1/4 cup of sugar!) and the shortcakes were perfect! Others complained about sticky dough; my dough was a little sticky, but after kneading it in flour as the recipe stated, it was very easy to pat the dough out and cut with a floured biscuit cutter. The shortcakes came out very tender with a deliciously golden, crisp crust. My family really loved these shortcakes; I will be making them again!!!

Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
I made these pancakes for breakfast yesterday; at first, the batter seemed really runny, and the first pancake was a flop. I added a little bit of extra flour, and then the pancakes were perfect! They don't really have a fluffy texture, but for a whole wheat pancake, they were very tasty! I did substitute brown sugar for the splenda, because I don't usually have that in the house. Next time I make these, I think I will sprinkle the blueberries on top of the batter circles instead of stirring them in, so that my batter won't turn blue. Thanks for sharing; I will make these again!

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
I'm sorry, but I really didn't care for this recipe at all. The taste of the vinegar was way too strong for me. I had such high hopes for this recipe, with all the good reviews. The other flavors in this dressing were good, but the vinegar taste is overwhelming. I'm glad I cut it down to 12 servings, because I don't know who is going to eat it. Sorry, but I don't think I will be making this again.

No-Guilt Zesty Ranch Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
This is a wonderful dip recipe! I discovered that it tastes really good after it sits for a day or two. I didn't use fat-free products as the recipe called for; I used low-fat instead, because that is what I had around the house. I also used chives instead of the green onions for a milder onion flavor, and skipped the horseradish because I don't care for it. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful recipe! I will definitely make it again!!!

Elaine's Sweet and Tangy Loose Beef BBQ

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
This is a wonderful barbecued beef recipe! The title is exactly right; this meat is both sweet and tangy! It is really hot here, so I actually cooked it in the slow cooker outside on our front porch, so that we wouldn't heat up the house. Thanks so much for sharing this delicious recipe!!

Rainbow Rotini Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2009
This is a very easy and tasty pasta salad! I loved the colors of all the fresh veggies. I used yellow pepper instead of green (all I had!) and grape tomatoes instead of whole ones. I also omitted the mushrooms, as my family doesn't care for them. It is very good as is, and even better with some chopped imitation crab meat tossed in! Thanks for sharing; I will make this again!

Lime Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
These muffins need a little work to make them taste like something. The batter was also very thick; it is no wonder that the muffins themselves are so dense. I ended up adding some limeade concentrate and a little more milk to these muffins to boost the flavor and to make the batter a little more manageable. Even with a glaze, these muffins were not what I was looking for. With my changes, the flavor was great, but the texture was not good. Thanks for sharing; it is a great idea!

B and L's Strawberry Smoothie

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
I found this smoothie to be pretty bland, and lacking in strawberry flavor. It did have a nice, frothy consistency, though. I substituted honey for the sugar, and added a little less, because honey is much sweeter! I also had to cut back on the amount of ice, because the smoothie was somewhat tasteless. I ended up adding about five extra strawberries, and even so, I've tasted better smoothies. Sorry, but I won't be making this again!

Nutty Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
This is such a easy and tasty salad! I used leaf lettuce instead of romaine, and sliced almonds instead of slivered. I also didn't chill the dressing, and it turned out just fine. My family really seemed to like this salad. Thanks for sharing!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2009
These are so good! I make them at least once after we go strawberry picking. I have found that they taste better when dipped in a sweeter chocolate; if the chocolate is to bitter, it overpowers the sweetness of the strawberry. I also like to drizzle them with white chocolate; they look so pretty!
