Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
This was so easy and so good! I had everything in the house that I needed. I made it with boneless, skinless chicken breasts instead of the wings. I would probably cook at a higher temp the next time or reduce the sauce before baking so that it actually comes out more carmelized looking. Overall, I give this 4-1/2 stars, and will definitely make this again! Thanks for submitting it.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

I would give this 3-1/2 stars. I made it as the recipes calls for except I used chicken instead of beef. My family enjoyed it. I'll try it with the beef the next time.

This is absolutely fabulous! I've made it several times. And really easy. It's now a favorite that I can bring to parties and such.

Chicken and Pasta in a Mango Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
This was good. Not excellent. 3-1/2 stars. I would make it again with the following changes. . . more spice, I added some red pepper flakes, but I would do more. I would also try and use real heavy cream. I used the cream substitute of 3/4C milk, 1/3C butter, & 1T flour to make the cream. I had higher expectations for this recipe.

Lime Garlic Chicken

This was very good. My husband commented that it would be great with a dipping sauce of honey mustard or boneless wing sauce. It is something I would make again.

Grilled Tilapia with Mango Salsa

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
This was very good. I actually made it in the oven (I don't have a grill) and it came out fine. Next time I would probably add some avocado. I actually meant to make a different recipe, also on this site, but glad I did this one. Would do it again.

Avocado, Tomato and Mango Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2009
This was fabulous! I did modify slightly. I doubled the recipe, and used 3 mangos istead of 2. I also decreased the tomatoes fom 8 to 6. I used a very small can of sliced jalapenos. It was the perfect mix of heat & sweet. From start to finish it took me 45 minutes to make this. Worth the time considering all the fresh fruit & veggies that I had to cut. Will make this again and again.

Hamburger Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
This was a quick easy meal. Had everything I needed in the house. I did make changes, based on other feedback. I doctored the meat with onions, garlic, parsley, Italian Seasoning. I used canned corn and canned green beans. I also used one can of tomato soup and one can of diced tomatoes. I would make this again. I would probably rate this a 3-1/2 star.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
This is a good base recipe, but definitely needs some doctoring. Substitue tomato paste for some of the ketchup. Use fresh garlic and onion, way better than dried. As the meat is browning you can brown the garlic & onion with it. Add in some Italian Seasoning (fresh or dry). . .oregano, parsley, basil. One teaspoon of Chili Seasoning will go a long way in Sloppy Joes. Enjoy!

This was the best! I followed the recipe to a "T" and it came out great! It's a little time consuming and more difficult than your standard recipe, but very well worth it. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Dump and Go Cheesy Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
This recipe was just o.k. No rave reviews. Hubby said not on the top of his list. I did use one can of the Fiesta Cheese soup and one of the Cheddar Cheese soup. I think that made a difference in taste. Otherwise it would have been REALLY bland. It was just still missing something. Wasn't crazy about the texture either.

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2009
This was very good, quick, and easy! It actually had more flavor than I had thought it would. The only thing different I did was crush the garlic, add it to the melted butter, then drizzled that over the fish. Here in Honduras we don't have North American lemons, but we do have limones (which is more of a lime), and I used that instead of the lemon that was called for and squeezed it over the fish. I will definitely make this again. Even my kids enjoyed it.

Sausage and Egg Casserole

This was a really easy, good caserole. The only suggestion I would make is to drain the sausage before mixing it all together, as it did seem a little greasy after baking. Will definitely make it again.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
This was a very good recipe. I modified based on items on hand. Used an Italian Blend dry spice instead of Oregano, Salt, & Pepper. I think I overcooked slightly, 'cause the chicken was a little dry. I don't believe this was the recipes fault. Thanks for submitting! I will definitely make again.

Mango-licious Tilapia

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2009
This was good. I did not follow the recipe exactly. I didn't make the mango part, as I had Mango Chutney I wanted to use. I did use the base of olive oil & orange juice to pour on top of the fish, then added in garlic, ground ginger, red pepper flakes, lemon juice. My husband and guests really enjoyed it.

Sweet and Sour Pork Patties

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
This recipe was a good, basic pork meatball/patti recipe. I made it as listed, then added things we love. . . garlic, curry, oregano, basil. I browned the meatballs then mixed it with the Sweet and Sour II recipe on this site and it made a fantastic meal.

I've been looking for the perfect Sweet and Sour Sauce and this is it! So easy, so quick. You can do anything with it. I added 3 bell peppers, a quarter onion, and 2 cans of pineapple chunks (drained), then put in some pork meatballs that I had made. Absolutely fabulous! Can't wait to try it with Chicken.

Oven-Baked Caramel French Toast

This was a great recipe! I took other's suggestions and cut the milk in 1/2. I kept the same number of eggs. It was sweet, but was approved by all at the housewarming party I went to. I will definitely make it again!

Waikiki Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
This was awesome & quick! Everyone in the family enjoyed it. I substituted pea pods for the green pepper because that's what I had on hand. The sauce was so good, that I will use it again and substitute chicken breasts or even pork tenderloin pieces.
