Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2008
I used to love my mom's stroganoff. Now I don't use her recipe because this one is ten times better (sorry, mom). Not your old time white stroganoff. I did add a packet of onion soup. I decreased the water to one cup and actually used one more can of golden mushroom soup. I had ground beef in the freezer one day and tried it instead of the cubed beef. It tasted even better. Make sure you drain the grease if you do that. My brother insisted I make more next time so he can take it in his lunch, and my husband and I fight over the leftovers!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

This was the best stroganoff I've ever has, including my grandmas! I did make a few changes though - I added the mushroom onion soup mix others suggested and I like mine creamier, so in addition to the 2 golden mushroom soups, I put in a cream of mushroom soup and more meat. It was GREAT!

We loved this! My brother and husband both looked at me like I was crazy when they saw me cooking it and glanced at the recipe - "eggs??" But they loved it and told me to make it more!

Linnie's Spanish Rice

Very good - too spicy for my family, so I will try less salsa next time. This time we just put sour cream on and it was great. VERY easy to make!

Easy Mexican Casserole

Delicious - BUT it is not ready in 50 minutes - they have down 20 minutes as prep time - it calls for you to simmer the meat after you brown it for 20 minutes alone. Count on 40 minutes for prep time. BUT it was delicious and fairly easy - my picky family ate it and had it for leftovers the next day for work. That in my book is a great recipe.
