I love cooking and entertaining. Having been born and raised in the south I learned to cook at a very young age. I lead a very busy life as most people now a days. I'm married, almost 27 years, have two sons 22 and 17 and work in law enforcement full time and sell Silpada sterling silver jewelry part-time.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking all sorts of different foods. Presentation is very important to me and I take time to garnish and present food in a very appetizing way. After all we eat with our eyes first.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holiday meals have always been so important to my family. We really tend to go overboard during the holidays but it has become tradition. Everyone's favorite holiday dish has to be included in the feast. Hospitality is very important to me and when I cook either for family or guests I want them to feel like I put a lot of effort in to the food I serve because I love them.
My cooking triumphs
I have carried on our family traditions and have taught both of my sons how to cook. They both enjoy cooking and are quite good at it, cleaning up their mess, not so much.
My cooking tragedies
Everyone that cooks is going to have mishaps in the kitchen. One of my all time flops have been corndogs. I fixed them right after I got married and that is the only thing my husband has never requested again. If you have a good recipe, I'm willing to try that one again.
