My cooking tragedies
When I was a teenager I wanted to make a potato souffle and my mom and I were up to our elbows in potatoes. Needless to say my mom never let me live that one down.

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake
This was so much better than it sounded (and it sounded good). I only used 4 T of butter that I melted and sauteed some finely chopped leeks, added the spices and then poured over the potatoes and stirred to completely cover them. Once they were done, I added the ranch dressing, cheese and some real crumbled bacon. I will definitely make these again.

Cindy's Awesome Clam Chowder
Great chowder and so easy. I did follow Cindy's recommendation and used 2 bottles of clam juice to cook the potatoes and carrots. Loved this recipe....thanks Cindy! One more thing, I used only 3 potatoes and diced them into fairly small cubes and I will probably use another can or two of clams.

King Crab Appetizers
I made these for a Christmas party and they were a major hit!! I used the frozen phyllo cups and there was enough filling for 30 of them (or two boxes). Everyone was asking for the recipe. The only thing I added was a little garlic powder. I did mix the filling a few hours before and let it sit in the fridge, filled and baked just before they were served. I will be making these again on Christmas!
