I made this for dinner earlier in the week. I did not change a thing and it was absolutely incredible. MAKE SURE YOU GET BONELESS AS DIRECTED. I purchased what I thought was boneless, and I was unpleasantly surprised when I was preparing the marinade and realized it had a bone. It really made it cook unevenly. The ends were done and the middle was still completely pink. I sliced it until I found pink and then put it back on the grill. It still gets 5 stars because that was my silly mistake. Everyone should try this, it's a nice change to have turkey when it's not Thanksgiving.

This roast tasted absolutely delicious, but I had to give it three stars for two reasons. It was INCREDIBLY dry which I thought was very strange as it had cooked in liquid on low all day. It was also very very tough, which I don't understand. The roast I bought is the same cut of meat I use when I cook the roast in the oven. It is completely cooked and tender within an hour. So the fact that this was dry and tough really baffled me. I recommend turning the roast half way through the cooking time if it is possible. I found that it cooked evenly, but the bottom half had much more flavor. If you don't mind the dry, tough meat, give this a try because it does have a delicious flavor. One more thing, once I realized how dry it was, I sliced the whole thing and slid it back into the liquid for ten minutes. It really moistened it quite a bit.

I was excited to make these for dinner tonight to go with a pork roast. I ended up being very disappointed. I didn't have an entire bag of baby carrots. What I used was probably 3/4 of a bag. I cooked them in a steamer bag in the microwave for 2 minutes less than it said. When I simmered them with the orange juice I had to double the amount because it hardly covered the surface area of the pan. As directed, I simmered for 5 minutes and added the brown sugar and butter. I wanted to add the corn starch to thicken it but there was no orange juice left to thicken, it had all cooked away even after doubling the amount. The carrots ended up being way overcooked to the point of mush even after undercooking them to begin with. They did not taste like orange at all, just like sugary mush, almost like the consistency of baby food. I am deleting this from my recipe box and will definitely not be making these again. I apologize for the negative review, but I was thoroughly disappointed.
