I'm proud to be a fifth-generation native Texan. My great, great grandfather was one of the early settling pioneers of what eventually became the city of Dallas. I work as a fire investigator and am married to an awesome woman. We have two neat boys, one in college and a fourth grader who is destined to be an architect.
My favorite things to cook
Steaks and BBQ chicken; ribs; smoked salmon; chili. Always charcoal, never gas. Love mesquite, pecan and oak to grill over and smoke with.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom made the most awesome chocolate fudge sauce, and my grandmother made rice pudding that cannot be duplicated. There was always lots of cooking around our house during the Thankgiving and Christmas holidays.
