Slow Cooker Creamed Corn
Hmmm....this sounded great. However, I followed the recipe exactly but none of the four of us really liked it. It just seemed to add calories and fat grams without adding anything in the flavor department. And the slow-cooked corn was gummy and chewy. Maybe I'm just a corn purist!

My Kid's Favorite Pork Chops
This was very tender but the flavor was just okay. The flavor is very dependent on which steak seasoning, beer, and bbq sauce you use. My combo was just okay. Will try again with different seasoning because we loved the ease of the technique and the tender result.

Play Dough Cookies
These were good tasting but not sweet enough for my taste. Next time I'll add more sugar and more extract or just use the idea with another sugar cookie recipe. They are definitely fun to make and cute looking. My 11 year old neighbor, sister-in-law, and I made them yesterday and had a great time. We started out with four colors but ran out of two before we were done. Next time (and there will be a next time) I'll portion the dough out more equally and chill the dough both before and after forming the balls.
