Apple Hermits

Apple Hermits. I was out of brown sugar so I made my own with the same amount of white sugar plus about 2 tablespoons of molasses. These were pretty good.

Pizza Dough III

pretty good. my first pizza! Roll this out thiiiiiiiiin because it rises in the oven even if it doesn't before you roll it. I used all purpose unbleached flour in place of the bread flour. And it turned out fine!

Apple Bars

AMAZING! I am amazed by these apple bars. Well actually, its more cakey than bar cookie...Maybe thats just me, I've never had luck with these. But wow! This somehow, tastes ALOT like carrot cake. Go figure! No carrots! I didn't have walnuts so I substituted 1/2 cup of oats and 1/2 of raisins. For apples, Macintosh. To top it off, buttercream frosting with carrot shavings to decorate!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Used natural unsalted peanut butter, added a teaspoon of vanilla. 10 minutes better than 8. Can't say i'm thrilled with the result, might of done better with some brown sugar like the other reviewers mentioned but that would defeat the novelty of making a cookie with just 3 ingredients!

Corn Dog Muffins

You may find the texture slightly different from the usual battered and deep-fried version, but it's nonetheless very similar, especially when you add mustard or relish. I used my own cornbread recipe, along with its desired number of eggs and milk. In place of the cheddar I used shredded velveeta cheese. Big hit.

Baked Stuffed Tomatoes

I totally tweaked this recipe, but it still came out good. I used hotdogs instead of ground beef, ran out of tomato pulp and used ketchup..lol! At the end I was just about to put them in the oven when i realized i didn't have bread crumbs, so I popped some bread in the toaster and crumbled that. Wow, this was fun to make!

Berry Shortbread Dreams

I've always wanted to make these, they're so cute! 3/4 cup canola oil is a fine substitute for the butter if you're thinking of your health. And sugar-free preserves go perfect with it. Overall, glad i made this.

Bakestones

i know nothing about bakestones. Nothing. I thought it was a cookie that you fry on the stove. Wrongo. Its more like a funky pancake. Truth be known, i didn't care for it much. And i've got alot left over in the fridge.. maybe the recipe could use a little elaboration?

Vegan Split Pea Soup I

very good, and the barley was an excellent addition. I suppose it makes a thick soup, but i've always preferred it when it comes to pea soup. This is the best pea soup i've had in a long time.

No Bake Cookies I

These didn't set very well. I've read the other reviews and they all mention you have to be careful how long you boil it, not too long, not enough; this is probably something that you'd have to make a few times before you got the timing right. And I don't have the time.

Soft Whole Wheat Sugar Cookies

Made these with butter instead of shortening and I didn't have apple pie spice so i made my own along with help from some fellow reviewers this is what i arrived at: 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. allspice, 1 tsp. of nutmeg & 1 tsp of ginger. Its not as sweet as your average sugar cookie, perhaps because the whole wheat doesn't absorb flavors well. But its healthier than most and everyone that had one enjoyed it. I'll definitely try this with the chocolate next time.

Gelatin Spritz Cookies

Its a neat idea to use jello, but even with sugar sprinkled on top its not too sweet or flavorful. I left them in for 6 minutes. You need to wait until they cool completely because they're a little soft inside at first. I made them in the shape of flowers with my cookie press, and they make pretty pink cookies.

Granola Bars III

Maybe its because I used old fashioned oats instead of the quick kind, or large eggs; but I did not enjoy these. Suprisingly, they weren't that sweet, and it was alot like eating a very bland oatmeal cookie.
