I am an Army wife, and a Navy brat. I guess my grandmother really sparked my interest in cooking, I remember many times making dinner with her. Now that I'm married, I'm getting tons more experience, and really expending my horizons. I want to go to culinary school, and with in the next few years, I'd really like to get the ball rolling with that. My husband is not by any means a picky eater, which is great for me. I try out everything I make on him and his friends from work. No complaints yet...so I guess I'm headed in the right direction. I love feeding people, and one day I'd love to own my own restaurant.
My favorite things to cook
Anything! Really, if I have the ingredients, I'll make it. I truly enjoy it. The more I cook/bake, the more therapeutic I find it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I am carrying on our family's Thanksgiving tradition every year. No matter where we are, I'll do the whole meal, start to finish, and love every minute.
My cooking tragedies
Sugar cookies. I really like sugar cookies, but i've never made a decent batch. One day I'll find the perfect recipe though.
