Frosted Banana Bars
I've tried other recipes and this one tops them. I made it as the recipe indicated, then I made another one with banana flavoring instead of vanilla. I'll stick with the banana flavoring, as it really made a huge difference. That's a small change, so I'm leaving the recipe at 5 stars! I also used the cream cheese frosting recipe from this site (and subbed half the vanilla for banana flavoring on that, too!) VERY GOOD! This cake is too good to use a canned frosting.

Cream Cheese Frosting
I agree that you must use unsalted butter if you are going to add the salt. I took that advice, and this recipe is WONDERFUL! I made it to top banana cake, so I used 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp banana flavoring. This really put the cake over the top!

Old Bay(R) Shrimp Fest
This is really delicious. For flavor, it gets 6 stars! However, if prepared exactly as written, the texture of the potatoes earns 2 stars. I averaged the two and gave it 4 stars. I WILL make this again and again, as the flavor will keep me coming back...but I will be tinkering with the timing as others have suggested.
