White Texas Sheet Cake

If your favorite drink is Pepsi, you will probably like this. But if you are a "water drinker" who occasionally makes a cake, this will probably be too sweet for your liking (me).

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

This is my second year making this bread. I made it last night because I had the time and I had to make myself stop eating it, it's so good! I agree that a smaller amount of basting milk/butter is all that's needed. I used 2 Tbls of buttermilk t& 1 Tbls of butter.

Creamiest Chocolate Mousse

We liked the fact that this wasn't your typical sweet type of dessert. The chocolate flavor was the major taste and the cream makes it so amazingly light and fluffy. We enjoyed it!

Creamy Black Bean Dip

I made this recipe this morning so the flavors could meld together by lunch time. I skipped the ketchup and used 1/2 diced roma tomato in it's place. I didn't rinse the beans and I only partially drained them. I'm guessing I used about 1 T of the juice in the recipe. I used Bush seasoned black beans and it turned out really~really yummy!

Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce III

This was the most delicious bread pudding I've ever eaten. I made some changes because of what I had on hand and the size of pan I used. After reading the other reviews I cut the milk back to four cups total. I had a cup of coconut milk leftover over from another recipe so I used that in place of one of the cups and counted the cup of light cream I used for another cup of the milk. I cut the syrup recipe in half and drizzled it over the top of the whole dish after it came out of the oven. I still had some leftover but it tasted great drizzled on top of our oatmeal this morning.

Creamed Carrot Strips

I just fixed these for supper tonight and no one has tasted them yet except me but I can assure you my family is going to have a whole new attitude about carrots as a side dish. I didn't have any celery and I believe I'll try it that way next time but I used some celery seed so at least the flavor is there. I used a bit more chicken stock seasoning too.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

I've fixed this recipe several times now and my hubby and I just love it! We were invited on a fancy Star Ship Dinner Cruise last week and he actually ordered an entree' mainly because it was served with risotto. He looked at me after he took a bite and said that I had him spoiled. That my risotto recipe was so much better than what he was served. Of course I've got this website and all the contributor's to thank!

Broccoli Cornbread

I loved this recipe!! I used the 2 boxes of Jiffy corn muffin mix and the 5 eggs like others suggested. It was is so moist and delicious that I plan on making it for our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.
