About this Cook
I absolutely LOVE cooking and baking. I bake when I need to relax or think, or just when I feel an itch to try something out. I beleive that sweet things make people happy. Sometimes the smallest bite of something pleasing to the senses releives stress. Someday i hope to have my own pastry shop where i can bake morning an night and make a lot of people smile.
My favorite things to cook
I adore making carrot cake and cheese cake. I actually enjoy grating carrots! Cheesecakes are my passion. Any flavor! I made my husband a cheese cake with chocolate crust, caramel swirl and cashews. I scored losts of points that day!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year for Easter and Thanksgiving, I make deviled eggs. I cant stand them with just regular mayo, so I create my own filling and my family LOVES it. I also get tasked with apple pie, but with my dads recipe, it is perfect and my grandmothers crust is to die for!
My cooking triumphs
I have a great time taking a regular recipe I find in a book or web site and creating something different with it. Like I add something creative that is all my own. When I get smiles and happy sounds, I know its a success.
My cooking tragedies
Usually I dont make any mistakes while cooking (that I cannot fix), but when I was 8 I made my mom breakfast to suprise her and it was a disaster! I stirred the muffins too much and they were shiny, sunken and pitted. She managed to choke down 2 to stop my tears.

White Chocolate Blondies
I love to decorate these little treats with semi-sweet chips melted then drizzled after cutting. Sprinkle a little colored sugar on top and you can have an elegant dessert for any holiday.

White Wedding Cake
I actually made this cake for my own wedding. My first experience making a wedding cake. I have made bigger cakes in the past, but never NEEDED them to be perfect. Imagin my frustration when I realized that there was too much batter for the bowl. Oops. The cake was yummy but a little plain compaired to other weddings I have been to. However, finding this recipe and being able to make my own wedding cake was an amazing experience! My husband was VERY impressed.
