About this Cook
I have been married for 25 years and have 2 wonderful children, Tara is 25 and was married on November 1, 2008. Christopher is 23. We love working with the children and youth at church. We love animals and have several pets (babies)! My husband and both children have severe kidney disease so I am always looking for "kidney friendly recipes".
My favorite things to cook
I like cooking in general and love to experiment especially with pastas and soups.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year my family comes to my house on Halloween and I cook a huge pot of Alan Jackson's chili and we eat when the kids finish trick or treating. My nieces love this tradition and will not allow us to change the menu!
My cooking triumphs
I was experimenting with pastas and came up with a wonderful pasta dish that everyone loves. I use thin spaghetti, olive oil, spinach leaves, garlic, chicken, sundried tomatoes, roasted peppers, salt, pepper and freshly shredded parmesan cheese.
My cooking tragedies
I made a cheese soup using beer that everyone including my dog hated. My co-workers still harrass me about it.
