I disagree with anyone who says these were bland. Of course the spice of the jalapeƱos depends on the beginning heat of your jalapeƱos. Removing the seeds does not effect the heat as the spice is in the membranes. Ours were quite hot. I used cream cheese, half cheddar and half Monterey jack cheese as well as bacon as the recipe called for to stuff ours. So good!! The crust was crisp and delicious! I did blanche my peppers for two minutes in boiling water once they were halved and cleaned. The steps it takes to make them are totally worth it. Better than any you can find in a restaurant.
