About this Cook
I am the mother of 3 awesome, beautiful children - 2 boys and one girl. I am a stay at home mom and I absolutely love it! I like to cook, but now with three kids, I like to find quick and easy recipes that taste gourmet! : ) I have many hobbies and I'm always finding new things to do. I love to do crafty stuff. My newest "hobby" is cake decorating. I love it!
My favorite things to cook
I decorate cakes, so now I love to do that and I'm always looking for good cake recipes. As far as the normal everyday fare, I like to keep it new. I don't like to make the same things every week. I definitely have my favorite recipes, but I'm not the type to have the same stuff week after week.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Christmas Eve, my brothers and sisters and I, along with our families, get together to do fondu at my Parents' house. It's so much fun and everybody just loves it! On Christmas morning we make "Escamochas" with is fresh fruit, cut up into about 1" cubes, with sweetened condensed milk poured over it, and then you add pecan and/or shredded coconut if you like. It's sooooooooo good!
My cooking triumphs
My first wedding cake was for my sister's wedding and I must admit, it turned out really well. I was relieved and it felt great to see that I could actually make a great wedding cake AND transport it to another location without it falling apart!
My cooking tragedies
The first time I had my inlaws over for Thanksgiving, I followed the wrong advice for cooking the turkey and it was way undercooked when it came time to eat. I was soooo embarrassed! Someday I'll have them over again for turkey (if they'll come) and this time it'll be cooked and delicious. That's the first and last time I've ever had an undercooked bird.

Juiciest Hamburgers Ever
These were very good. They really were nice and moist and I liked the spices just the way they are, but it would be easy to change it up, according to your tastes. Yum!

Fluffy French Toast
I thought this was good, but nothing spectacular. I used half & half instead of milk. But I didn't think the flour made it that much better than the French toast that I usually make.

Feta Chicken
I thought that this was good, but my husband thought it was a little heavy on the feta cheese.
