About this Cook
I come from a big Italian family. We all love to cook and we all love to eat. Get togethers always revolve around a meal in my family but I'm not complaining. Nothing is better than spending time with your family while eating a delicious meal! Quick and easy meals are great for busy days but I don't mind spending a little time cooking if the end result is worth it.
My favorite things to cook
Oh boy, where to begin. I love cooking but baking is the most fun. Cinnamon rolls are definitely my favorite things to bake but really, I love making desserts in general.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Both of my parents were Italian and both were wonderful cooks but my favorite things were dishes my Dad made ... stuffed artichokes, eggs in tomato sauce, meatballs, fried zucchini, and the best pizzelles you ever put in your mouth!
My cooking tragedies
I choose to block those out of my mind.

Broccoli with Rigatoni
Sorry, this was really bland. I did all I could to increase the flavor but it just didn't happen. I don't think basil pairs well with broccoli either.

Banana Cake VI
OMGosh this cake is YUMMY!!! Strange directions but it works. And it makes a lot -- filled a 9x13 pan as well as a 6" pan. Very worth it! Thanks for sharing.

Double Tomato Bruschetta
I love balsamic vinegar but these were a little on the heavy side as far as the vinegar taste. Next time I'd use a very scant 2 tablespoons and maybe not quite as many sun-dried tomatoes.
