About this Cook
Iam married and have 2 children and 8 grandchildren. I am a Cosmotologist/Hairsylist and I love interacting with people. Sharing my creations from the kitchen brings me great joy! I took several years of homeconomics all through school, and learned that cooking is truley one of my loves.
My favorite things to cook
Cheesecakes are one of my newest creations. Italian dishes such as lasagna, Chicken Parmasian, Eggplant parmasian, Mexican dishes such as salsas, chili rellenos, chicken enchiladas, pork green chilie, homemade tortillas, tamales, pesole.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Spaghetti sauce, cooked all day, Portugueese dishes, Sunday Potroast with roasted potatoes and carrots, New England boiled dinner, Chicken and rice. Stews, Pork chops, macaroni and cheese.
My cooking triumphs
Home made tortillas were actually something that I triumphed at an early age. I learned how to make these while I was in high school and continued on for over 35 years. There was a time that when times were tough I would sell them.
My cooking tragedies
My first apple pie I used a can of pre-sweetend apples but used a recipe that called for 1 cup of sugar to the apples. Needless to say the pie was a bit too sweet!!
