Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Good meat loaf recipe but I did as the others and put the brown sugar and ketchup mixture on the top rather than the bottom.

Hot Buttered Rum Mix

Good recipe just as is. I cut the sugars in half and don't think it was as good as it would have been if I had followed the original recipe. Possible could cut the powdered sugar but definately don't decrease the brown sugar!

Grandma's Corn Chowder

This was great but I will add more potatoes next time. I used turkey ham instead of bacon, 2 cans of creamed corn and one can of regular corn, like some of the others. It has a really good flavor.

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

This was great bread but I made it with cherries instead of blueberries. Used half applesauce, half oil & whole wheat flower instead of white. Also cut down on the sugar by 1/4 of cup & used half brown sugar. Lots of changes healthy changes but it was great!

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake V

This was so easy & delicious. I made it for my book group & they loved it & had seconds. I made it in a 9x13 pan, used a 15oz can of pineapple slices instead of 8oz. (there were a few rings left over but the 8oz wouldn't have had enough rings or juice) the 8oz of crushed pineapple that the recipe called for & 4 Tbs of butter instead of 2 Tbs. I let it set 10 minutes then flipped it upside down & it came out perfect. It baked for about 40 minutes. It was very moist & yummy!

Cranberry Orange Bread

Really liked this...but did not have some of the ingredients. No cranberries, used craisons instead. No orange juice but used fresh squeezed with lots of pulp. Added slivered almonds. Am looking forward to making it again only with cranberries!

Creamy Banana Bread

This was great banana bread. I used 5 bananas & added cinnamon, nutmeg & allspice as mentioned above. I also used walnuts with 1/4 cup brown sugar because I didnt't have any pecans. Definately a keeper!
