About this Cook
Generally I've been a "healthy" cook for 30 + years, starting in the 70's when many of us focused on health and the environment (& peace & love)! I enjoy cooking & baking & love eating! allrecipes.com is a WONDERFUL tool for helping me enjoy one of my passions. It's great that people share their recipes, their tips & suggestions. I love this site & visit daily.
My favorite things to cook
"Ethnic" foods that focus on vegetables (or fruits) as the center w/ little (if any) meat. I particularly love Indian or Thai food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
LOTS of food @ Holiday celebrations but w/ my mixed European roots, unfortunately I have few real cooking traditions.
My cooking triumphs
Hmmm...can't think of any real triumps off hand.
My cooking tragedies
Fortunately can't think of any real tragedies either.

Key Lime Cream Pie
This is a wonderful, easy pie! I followed recipe exactly. Nice, tart, lime flavor. It's creamy & especially good the next day. I have no need to search further. Thanks for sharing, Carolyn.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I
I loved this recipe AS IS! Next time I would add additional mushrooms cuz we like them. I do not think it needs any bouillon or additional salt. The gravy is thick enuf once the cream cheese is added. The house smelled yummy when I came home from work! Thanks Jessica!

Salmon Mac and Cheese
I had unexpected company & they rated this recipe 5 stars. I rated it a 4 b/c it was a bit dry for my taste. The seasoning is very good. Love the veggies. I would add less macaroni next time or increase the liquid. The vinegar likely cuts the fishy taste to the canned salmon, so I would not omit. A good way to add salmon to one's diet! Thx Pixie.
