Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
Used white wine instead of milk as suggested. It gave it more of a cordon blue taste to it. This was good, very easy to do at lunch and have ready by the time I come home! I do like the Chicken Cordon Blue II recipe better though!

Barbecue Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
5 stars with just a few changes recommended by other reviewers. I split the ketchup with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. Also seasoned chicken with garlic powder and added it to the ketchup mixture. (I love garlic.) I also forgot to do the flour-shake-in-a-bag thing. I used bone in drumsticks and thighs. Very good.

Bruschetta Chicken Bake

4 Stars as written, 5 with some changes. Followed other reviewers advise and added a couple tablespoons of balsamic vin., also used italian style diced tomatoes, personally I think it could use another can, will do that next time!

Pretty good! Great for a weeknight meal, I thought it could use a little extra flavoring, maybe extra garlic or salt, but again, very good!

Breakfast Pies

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
This is a very versitile recipe! I used bacon instead of sausage and shredded cheddar cheese b/c that's what I had. Very easy to just add what you like and take out what you don't! I made them to have a quick breakfast for me to grab on my way out the door in the mornings, great recipe, thanks!

Good stuff! I made mini cheesecakes instead of one big one and used a muffin tin with whole ginger snaps for a crust. Yum!

Very good, but I feel like it could use just a little something more. Perhaps some added cin or other fall spices. I'll try that next time!

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
Wonderful!! I goofed at the store and bought "pumpkin pie mix" instead of pumpkin puree so I had to go easy on the spices, but they still came out great! I did use extra of the mix. I followed the advice of other reviewers and used brown sugar instead of white. Baked for about 25 minutes and were PERFECT. Great recipe!

Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
I had to use ground sirloin b/c that's what I had...(defeats the purpose of turkey chili, I know!) But this was very good! I added corn per another reviewer and it made it really hearty. I did use half the chili powder, my boyfriend does not like a lot of heat. It still had quite a kick to it but not overpowering.

Tomato Gorgonzola Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
Oooh this was goood! I poured half of the soup into the blender to mix it up better, but left the other half to leave some chunky tomatos. Otherwise I followed as written. (Fresh basil is a must!)

Very good! I only used half the dill called for, per other reviewers. Even that was a little strong for my taste, but other than that very good! There are an infinite number of possibilies with the stuffing!

Slow Cooker Dump and Go Cheesy Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
I used one can of cheddar soup and one can of cream of chicken (it's what I had.) I also added italian seasoning, I think it would have been pretty bland without it. Good served over rice. May also be good with some carrots or other veggies in it.
