About this Cook
22 yr old female just learning how to cook. Always thought I was terrible...but I just needed a little assistance to start out. Now that I'm becoming a little more confident in my cooking abilities I'm having a lot more fun!
My favorite things to cook
Portuguese and asian foods. I am Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese... so these are all the foods I grew up around. LOVE IT! Would love to carry our traditional family foods and add a few things here and there!

Easy Mushroom Rice
Yum! I didn't have an condensed french onion so I did substitute it with cream of mushroom. I only had fresh mushrooms, so I sauted them in 1 onion and 2 cloves garlic as suggested and it was great. I'm sure the orginal would be just as good :).

Baked Omelet
Loved it! I normally don't like eggs, but this was very tasty, filling and fluffy. The boyfriend was surprised and said "you should make this more often!" I just added a little mushrooms. Great recipe!

Caldo Verde (Portuguese Green Soup)
Yum! Simple and quick recipe. HIGHLY recommend searching for that Portuguese Linguisa, Chorizo tends to fall apart and doesn't taste as good. If you have a Sams Club or Costco thats where I found it. I find kale to be much better softer, so leave it in for 10-15 minutes. I grew up with it being pretty soft. Also, I added more water to serve more. Overall great recipe, enjoyed it!
