I LOVE feeding people, it seems to make them happy. I have 2 kids aged 7 and 10 who tend to be finicky about very different foods, and I am finding it extremely difficult lately to make ALL the members of my family happy at the same time without getting bored with the same meals!
My favorite things to cook
I love trying adventurous new dishes with ingredients that are foreign to me, and baking. I have a passion for making pastries and sweets as well as ethnic dishes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandfathers turkey stuffing. It started out as a Holiday side dish that has quickly become a friend and family fave year round. As well as baking my kid's birthday cakes every year!
My cooking triumphs
I have now mastered the art of the Holiday meal for upwards of 20 people. It only took 9 years to figure it out. Also, i'm not afraid to try recipes that are very labour intensive and as long as you don't have that fear that something might not turn out, I think you're well on your way!
My cooking tragedies
My first pie...it was apple. It was awful!
And my first Christmas dinner, I was 19 the turkey was done in 2 hours not the 4.5 I had thought...so not only was it over cooked but I didn't season the gravy, so it had no chance at all of being saved!
