I am currently studying translation and I am about to receive my degree very soon. I love baking, and I would love to have my own bakery, so if anyone knows where I can open up a translation business/bakery, let me know!
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, obviously. I'm not the best cook, but I'm not bad. That, or I just dont like (feel like) cooking most of the time. I'm the reverse Rachael Ray like that (although I CAN cook).
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well I like to brag about my mom's meatball recipe. She tries to make it for me everytime I visit. I've loved it since forever. I like to make cookies with my sister too, nothing special.
My cooking triumphs
Peanut Brittle and Caramel Crunch Ice Cream Pie - took me a whole lot longer to make that I had thought, but it was sooo worth it. Also, I like to think (at least amond my friends) that I discovered the Toblerone cheesecake. I call it my signature dessert.
My cooking tragedies
I don't have many tragedies per se, but I did burn mexican rice pretty badly. Then when I remade it, the rice was too soggy. No more minute rice for that one. Also, my "bad luck" cheesecake - caramel apple. First time I made it, I broke the crust beyond repair, and the second time, I dropped it on the oven door. Hopefully my third time will be better.
