I get such satisfaction out of cooking and serving a meal. When I have the time in my busy life, this is truly what I enjoy is planning and preparing. I love to baking recipes that reflect our season...apple recipes in the fall, fruit recipes in the summer, cookies and comfort food in the winter. I am also good at yeast rolls - a recipe I got from my home economics class in junior high. My mother was a cook and she has been my role model. I always try to involve my children in cooking. My daughter who is married far surpasses me in skill and daring recipes. Yeast rolls for sure, desserts and any type of comfort food. Pie Shells! I made my first and last 27 years ago. I would like to get the courage to make one again. I am not a real pie lover so it has never been that pressing. One other tragedy was meatloaf in a crock pot. It seriously looked like dog food. We had a good laugh and ordered a pizza.
