About this Cook
I am a down to earth lady, with an emphasis on the red-neck/princess/food snob/vegetarian in me. I LOVE all home made foods! I like dishes that create a "party in the mouth" type of feeling....lol
My favorite things to cook
I love all food...except of course anything in the "pre-made" category. There is such joy in a mouth of pure, unadulterated, sensual, wholesome, natural food, of any type. I absolutely love yeast breads, profiteroles, bread pudding, any seafood and lotsa pasta! I guess I should weigh like, I dont know, maybe 600 lbs. But I have 5 children so they work off the calories!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We make kolaches, yes, from scratch...good honest comfort food.
My cooking triumphs
Profiteroles, and absolutely perfect ones.
My cooking tragedies
I made a rice casserole once and didn't put enough liquid in it to soften the rice, a bit crunchy, went out for take out that night....:(

Chicken Fried Chicken
Great basic recipe! Easy to adapt to any taste bud too! I omitted the potato flakes and did the double dip thing. First flour, then egg/milk then the crackers with salt, pepper and garlic. Very tasty!
