I was born in Chile to chilean/german parents, but grew up mostly in Germany. So I learned to make dishes out of both counties. I have lived in the USA for over 10 years and beeing a former military wife I have learned new recipes from friends all over the world. Foods I remember form Chile as a child. Chilenitos con merengue,Humitas,Pastel de choclo,sopaipillas,.... I love to bake.One of my hobbies is to decorate cakes. I make Stollen every Christmas and give some away to friends. My favorite birthday cake is Schwarzwaelder Kirsch Torte (Blackforest Cake) I make it every year for my birthday. as a teenager I had very picky younger sisters, I made broccoli with sauce holandaise and had my sisters begging for me to make it again
