About this Cook
I'm 38 and married with 2 little girls who refuse to stop growing, no matter how much I protest... I started cooking before I started college. Once I got married, my wife's specialty was cereal for dinner but since my world revolves around food, I cooked for the both us. I still cook about half the meals and love cooking.
My favorite things to cook
I consider myself to be an intermediate skill, but others think I am an expert. Anyway I love cooking anything that pops into my head. I have a knack for having a meal in a restaurant or a foreign country, researching the dish online, combining several different recipes into something that is VERY close to the original! That is the best. If it isn't quite right, I'll make mental notes on how to improve the dish for the next time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to fondue on Christmas with the whole family and I make my own saurkraut wich is more fermentation then cooking...
My cooking triumphs
Creating my own versions of Venison stew, Red Snapper Veracruz, Paella and a mussels in wine.
My cooking tragedies
I do not talk about tragedies, only opportunites for improvement!

Barbecued Short Ribs
This is a wonderful recipe. I modified a bit by using half beef, half pork country style ribs for a variety. Also boiled them in beer instead of water. Added some molassas to the sauce and voila. Perfection! Will be keeping this one around.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings
We love this recipe dipped in a little blue cheese dressing on Sunday afternoons when the football game is on. Make no mistake about it though, you have to use Frank's Lousiana hot sauce...Don't try tabasco! There is nothing better!
