From The Blog:  My Whine
Thanksgiving 2009
Sunday morning the lake had an eerie look.
Woke up this Sunday and the lake looked eerie.
What the cabin looks like now. Oh look Peppe is in the pic.
Hard to believe with all that flexing they actually built something. That's hubby, SIL and BIL.

That's hubby with the saw.
Mr Good Hygiene.
What the other picture said
Boys just have to flex.
Major demolishing, that charming girl is my daughter. She works with hubby building houses.
About this Cook
Married mother of 4, ages 14 to 21, but sane none-the-less.
My favorite things to cook
I'm addicted to entertaining, I love throwing big family parties. I've cooked for up to 30 people and I'm jealous of letting anyone else bring anything.
My cooking triumphs
Basic Light Cheesecake recipe that easily adapts to many flavors. Cioppino with Rice Balls.
My cooking tragedies
I rarely write down a recipe and have lost many dishes to memory lapses, efforts to repeat have never poisoned but also never sated.

Cornucopia
Really fun to do, turn out great. I had some slippage3 in the oven, but it formed a more natural look and ended up a great center piece and presentation for veggies and dip.

Chicken Fajita Melts
This is my recipe and want to point out that these are not "fajitas," they are melts; open-faced sandwiches that are topped with cheese and broiled (ie tuna melts, patty melts). We still have fajitas sometimes, this is just a different quick meal, cooks relatively quickly and goes down quick.

Gumbo Style Chicken Creole
Dang this is good. I made a huge batch of chicken caccatori in the slow-cooker and recycled the leftovers in this dish. I didn't have mushrooms so I left them out, I used honey in place of white sugar but splashed a little lemon juice in it as I found it a bit too sweet. Tossed in some crushed chili peppers and some chile powder, also added some BC spot prawns. As a quick cook after a busy work day this recipe is awesome, I really enjoyed cooking and eating this meal. I served it with brown rice and garlic bread. Five stars may not be enough. Thanks for the recipe.
