This one's a keeper! I might omit zucchini next time, it got too soggy... maybe just cut them thicker

Awesome Red Wine Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
Initially I was scared because the smell of the wine was so strong, but 4.5 hours later, the house smelled good enough to eat! * I also used beef broth instead of water. This one's a keeper!!!

Mediterranean Couscous

As is, didn't pack as much flavor as I liked so I whipped up some balsamic vinaigrette and sliced some black olives.. YUM! Good cold, warmed up, works great with Chicken and fish as a side.. or just all by itself!

Extra Easy Hummus

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
YUMMY! Very easy, I found I had to use MOST of the reserved liquid so the blender would actually puree the chickpeas... I have made this recipe twice, and the second time I went and got tahini (found in the peanut butter isle of Whole foods) and it did make a little difference. I sprinkles with some of the same spices I used for when I make dipping oil for bread and YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY with warm pita bread!

Personally I don't care for fish but this gave the salmon a pleasant, fresh, and light taste.

EVERYTHING FRESH PASTA

Used boccocini mozzerella balls and quartered them and used rice noodles. I was good to me. Very fresh. I was looking for a more balsamic flavor.

Mushroom Green Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
Not for my taste, we won't be using the lemon juice/ dijon mustard sauce on green beans anymore it was too over powering... HOWEVER, this sauce would be FANTASTIC on some salmon, swordfish, or some other type of fish... the sauce was good but not the right paring for us so that's why I gave it a 3.

Parmesan Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
Very Easy! they were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I shortened the cooking time by microwaving my potatoes first but not all the way (about 1/2 way done) and then put them in the oven with pork chops that were already cooking at 375 degrees for about 30 min. or until tender.

I made this recipe for the second time and it was better this time... New tip = make sure you take your filet's temperature to make sure it's cooked to your liking ..... I cooked this for my boyfriend to celebrate yet another year together. Watch how long you cook this, otherwise 2 thumbs up!

My Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
Super Yummy, I trought it all in a crock pot on HIGH for a few hours, used ground turkey instead of beef, and added chili poweder, cumin and cayenne pepper cautiously because I don't care for spicy chili. I made a HUGE batch and froze half to get us through... This was a BIG success with my hungry boyfriend :)

Old Fashioned Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
Y-U-M-M-Y!! I did boil the chicken and it wasn’t dry at all. I put in carrots, onions, and celery in the pot without cooking them first. I forgot the butter in the dumplings and I rolled them and dropped them into the pot… The recipe didn’t say how much flour to use for step 2 an how much to leave for step 3 which caused me to dump in all of it in step 2 and having to add to stock to thicken in step 3 but only at a spoon full at a time.
