Kiki
About this Cook
I'm bookish archeology and folklore college student rooming with Kiki, my small Siamese cat. I cook for myself while reading, playing video games, or doing homework. I rarely have guests and usually cook for one - but I love desserts, chocolate, and fruit. I prefer traditional and exotic dishes, and I grew up on crock-pot foods and soups. I like foods that keep well as after pulling early morning classes, study sessions and then a shift at work, I'm unlikely to cook and having a meal or leftovers to come home to is great. I like fruits and veggies, love Japanese food, and I'm seemingly allergic to fish eggs, salmon (and only salmon). I cook with a toaster oven, mircowave, and single hot plate with which I am continually surprised at what I can do with my limited tools.
My favorite things to cook
Rice, smoothies, desserts, candies, chocolate anything, pasta, fish, and anything my cat will eat.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Potato soup & crock pot soups.
My cooking triumphs
Learned how to make homemade pasta from scratch via allrecipes.com, I have the ability all college students have in which I can take whatever is in my kitchen, toss it together, and somehow make it taste at least decent.
My cooking tragedies
I've boiled water out of a pan, ruined packaged cookies, and typically need an extra pan or bowl when I really shouldn't.

Quick and Easy Brownies
This is excellent. I made a batch for my friends' kids for the huge Thanksgiving party we're having and had to make a second batch right away because the first batch was already gone. I wasn't sure I liked the taste at first but the more I ate, the more I loved it! I'll definitely make this again. It was so easy and fast.

Leftover Dog Pile
This really hit the spot. Very much a comfort food and an easy way to clean out the fridge. Thanks.

123 Green Tea Ice Cream
This was fantastic. It was just enough green tea. Perfect for a quick snack. I used soft vanilla ice cream, so I didn't need to pound it, just stir. I'll be making this for my family and friends.
