World's Best Pasta Sauce!

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
Fantastic meat sauce!! I used 3 sweet italian sausages (casing removed). Added a couple bay leaves during simmering time. Definitely add the sugar as listed, it helps cut down on the acid in the tomatoes. I froze 4 containers for future meals. Adding "fresh basil" is a "plus flavor" ingredient I have tried your Lasagna, too, both of these recipes are exceptionally delicious! Add a salad, garlic bread, a glass of wine for a "Perfect Italian Dinner)!!!!!!!

Puppy Chow

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
I LOVE making this for my Grandson for an after school treat!! Like other reviews I used a whole bag of chocolate chips, a little extra peanut butter, 1/4 cup of butter and a tsp of vanilla. So much easier to Microwave than stovetop. I also like the idea of putting the mixture in the Fridge for awhile before tossing in the powdered sugar. I found that it helps coat the chex mix better! I will be making this "Puppy Chow" for a fund raiser at my Grandson's school. A cupful in a plastic ziplock bag will be a great idea for a treat to sell at this function!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
This recipe is awesome!! So easy to make and makes a perfect amount for a small gathering! I had this for the first time at my Daughter's baby shower! I have to admit I am not a big beef eater, but after trying this it was soooo good, I had to make it myself! It has been a big hit with my Family. I have followed the advice to use Beef Broth instead of water, using onion powder instead of onion salt, and two packets of seasoning mix. I think these changes are a "must" for a delightful Italian Beef. The slower it cooks the better the flavor. I have even froze the leftovers and it takes just as good as when it was first made. This recipe is definetly a keeper!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
I just made this cheescake, it was absolutely perfect! I put a roaster pan of hot water on the oven shelf below the cheesecake. This makes more sense than trying to wrap foil around the pan and placing it in a water bath. Why take the chance of the water leaking into the cheescake? I made this exactly to the directions, making sure all ingredients were at room temperature. AND NOT OVER MIXING!! I sprayed my springform pan with non-stick oil. I baked it late in the evening and let it set overnight in the oven (without opening the door!!) The result was a "PERFECT CHEESECAKE", no cracking in the cake, it was well set and had a very creamy texture! Added a can of cherry pie filling on the top. I will definitely make this again! This recipe is foolproof if the directions are carefully followed! Everyone that tried it gave it a great review! This recipe is definitely a keeper!

Fantastic recipe!! I just made this last night, followed recipe exactly, except I used less sugar, toasted almonds and added Fetta cheese. It was absolutely delicious!! What a great salad to compliment a "summer barbeque." This recipe is definitely a keeper!!

Chicken Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
After a few changes this is a great "summer salad" to serve for dinner. First boil 2 lg chicken breasts until done in salted water. In same water cook the macaroni, during the last 2 minutes add 1 cup of frozen peas. Drain macaroni & peas, rinse with cold water. Add less mayo (3/4 cup to taste) along with chopped celery, small cubes of cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, dry mustard, garlic salt. A bit of crumbled bacon is good, too. It can even be topped with chopped egg and papricka.

Spinach Cheese Manicotti

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2008
I have made Spinach Manicotti similiar to this recipe before. It always turns out excellent. I have tried both ways, pre-cooking the noodles, and adding water to the uncooked version of the recipe. I prefer adding the water, the shells are so much easier to stuff when uncooked. I usually freeze half of the recipe. So easy to just pop in oven next time around. It does not change the taste, etc. of the "sauce" by adding the water. The water is absorbed during the cooking process. Add garlic/cheese bread a salad and glass of wine for a true authenic "Italian Dinner." I totally recommend this recipe~~~~ AAAA++++

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
I just made this cobbler using fresh raspberries. Lookinf for something quick and easy for dessert I found this to be absolutely perfect. All the ingredients are mainly staples found everyday in your cupboard. What's nice about this is you can use a variety of seasonal fruit to your taste. It came out "Very Moist." I followed the directions exactly as posted and it turned out perfect. I will definitely be using this recipe again and recommending it!!!!!
